So my dad almost officially has a new job. Starting October 1st he will be the associate pastor specifying in outreach at New Horizons Community Church. It’s a small and fairly new church with kind of a “country church” kind of feel, but only because everyone seems to know each other quite well and its in Calhoun, TN.

The pastor, Joe, has been good friends with my dad for a few years and he’s always felt him to be a kindred spirit. Joe has been known to dress up as a ninja while giving talks at youth retreats or bang on an audience member’s head with a styrofoam bat to the tune of “Bohemian Rhapsody” ; this is right up my father’s alley. It’s exciting.

note to self: Never again be in an audience where Joe might possibly play "Bohemian Rhapsody" on your head.
