This morning a physical therapist from home health came out to do an evaluation before I can start getting therapy from them. Her name was Bennie and I liked her very much. I can tell she’s strict in that she won’t give me much slack, but she’s pleasant and thinks I’m a funny girl. That’s good; I need strict and I also need affirmation. Chances are she’ll be making weekly visits out to see me but it could also be a man named Chuck. Chuck? I want Bennie.
Tanya and I went outside for a while today. She took me into the backyard to see where Dad has cleaned out some of the unnecessary leaves and such. I was afraid. The ground is really bumpy and I wasn’t sure if my power chair was capable to go “off roading” without tipping over; turns out it is.
Bennie said she was going to check with the local wheelchair company and our insurance policy to see if I can get a new power chair that transforms into a standing position so I can stand. And roll around standing up. I’ll be a transformer.
So Saturday is the craft show. 9-2 at the elementary school in Ooltewah; across the street from The Samaritan Center. I made three bracelets today and Tanya made four pairs of earrings, that’s pretty good but we need to make about four or five more of each. I’m excited, but since its outside I hope it doesn’t rain so I don’t get electrocuted – I’d have to leave.
I woke up with no regrets, but with a small fear you will regret it soon.
