We went to T.J. Max first and I got a rather swell sweater I think. One of my friends from high school was working there and greeted me when I came in. She was a funny girl. All through school she wore long skirts, no makeup, and kept her hair plain and nearly long enough to sweep the floor. My mom said her family must have been “traditional Church of God”. A lot of people made fun of her because of the above description, also because she was over weight and had an almost strange appreciation for Princess Di. I’m embarrassed to say that in junior high I thought she smelled weird and didn’t want to hang around her much but then high school came along and I grew up some and realized she was one of the funniest people I knew. She was so goofy and silly sometimes and couldn’t stop laughing at inopportune times. It didn’t matter how she smelled; she was nice to me. When I saw her today she had lost a lot of weight and didn’t smile much, but then again she was at work and it could’ve been a busy/crappy day in the discount clothing store world.
Nothing at Books-A-Million really caught my eye. I looked at some Photoshop and photography books but they were either too expensive or just not attractive enough, and I only buy attractive books. Not really, but I didn’t buy any books.
On the way home Tanya and I were discussing terrible drivers like the darting motorcyclist in front of us and she said “If it didn’t hurt, I’d run over people”. I don’t think she should’ve said that out loud, I’m alerting the authorities.
