an unexpected outing

The doctor called and said I could go for my chest x-ray today or Monday so off we went to Cleveland Community Hospital (a.k.a. Scary Dirty Place With Rude Technicians) for a fun time (a.k.a. an uncomfortable experience forcing me to be in various positions all of which are not an Amy position). I tried smiling at the man walking past me as he was giving me such a mean look, but he didn’t return it so I furrowed my eyebrows at him. Shortly after he passed, a really old man walked past me with the same withering stare so I gave him an extra smiley smile but his face never changed. Phooey on them.
While we were there they decided to go ahead and do the bone density test I needed to have to see if its safe for me to stand. They took me into a closet sized room and laid me on a metal table. I was laying there looking at the ceiling tiles thinking “Gosh, I’m glad I’m not claustrophobic” and then the walls started to feel closer and everything kind of blurred together for a few minutes until I made myself snap out of it. Everything is a matter of the minds. The test itself wasn’t bad, just lying on the table was uncomfortable. Then the lady had to unzip my pants a little and she saw my owl underwear and I got embarrassed.
On the way home we went to Sally’s Beauty Supply and I got a flat iron. I decided that’s the only way I’ll ever see my hair straight so I broke down and bought one. And its fantastic. Seriously, Tanya is using it on my hair right now and it’s shocking how good it’s working. Stay tuned for pictures.
