sangrilla without the headache

I love Thanksgiving. I love the turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy and stuffing and pie, and even the part where we go around the table and say what we’re thankful for. It sounds kind of cheesy but we’ve always done it. Last year we started with Chris #1 to which he said “I’m thankful Amo is much better now” to which I said “Can we just all agree that that goes for everyone?” to which they all agreed and left it at that.
This year there has been so much suffering in my family that at first glance it looks like there really isn’t anything to be grateful for, but to almost every thing that has sucked there has been one of those “hidden blessings” I’ve talked about before. Here are just two examples:
1. suck - I lost my hair.
blessing – A greater appreciation for hair plus, it grew back prettier than before.
2. suck – My dad lost his job.
blessing – He got a new job working with one of his best friends, better hours, better in general.
